GQ Bar set for Dubai opening on January 30

GQ Bar, a venue themed on the leading men's lifestyle magazine, will open its doors for the first time in Dubai on 30 January.

GQ Bar’s restaurant and lounge will offer lunch and dinner in seven days a week, and until 02:00 Thursdays and Fridays.

This is the fourth international outlet for the brand after Moscow and Istanbul.

Two Dubai Restaurant are coming in the World Best Restaurants list

The list, described as 'a carefully curated collection' of 'the world's most exemplary hotel feasts', was compiled from recommendations by The Daily Meal’s editors, who have travelled extensively around the world.

Al Mahara and The Rib Room are the only two outlets selected in the Gulf region and appear next to internationally recognized hotel restaurants.

The list includes restaurants from six continents, 50 countries and nations, and more than 80 cities.

Sydney-based Japanese brand Toko to open in Dubai

Contemporary Japanese restaurant in Australia, Toko, is coming to the Middle East with the first branch outside of Sydney to open at the Vida Downtown Hotel in Dubai in December 2013.

The first Toko branch outside of Sydney will be in the Vida Downtown Hotel in Dubai.

The Dubai venue will be created by Bulldozer Group in collaboration with Emaar Hospitality Group, with its parent restaurant having opened in Sydney over six years ago.

Its F&B team will focus on quality premium produce fused with a wide variety of ingredients, both locally and internationally sourced.

With direct access from Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, a dining room and bar featuring soaring ceilings, coupled with an expansive terrace, the modern Japanese restaurant takes its inspiration from the Japanese bar concept 'Izakaya' with a menu tailored to encompass a traditional sushi bar alongside a dedicated robata grill and kitchen.

The design of Toko Dubai will use a minimalist neutral palette featuring beautiful natural timbers and streamlined joinery.

Toko Sydney enjoys a celebrity following with the likes of Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Hawkins and Baz Lurhmann all regular visitors, alongside international A-listers such as Leonardo Di Caprio, Vin Diesel, Salma Hayek, Jermaine Jackson and Nicole Kidman.
